Back in November, She Loves Me had the honor of creating a truly enchanting large-scale floral installation for the Washington, DC premiere of Wicked at the British Embassy. This wasn’t just any movie screening—it was a night filled with theatrical history, cinematic excitement, and a dazzling display of artistry, from the stunning costumes of the film to the immersive floral world we designed.
To bring the magic of Wicked to life, we arranged over 2,000 tulips in a way that felt organic and whimsical, as if they were sprouting naturally from the ground. This vibrant display was positioned in front of a breathtaking graphic from the movie, which featured a sprawling tulip field, creating an illusion of seamless continuity between reality and film.
The design process required a team of four skilled floral artists, and in just under three hours, we transformed the space into a dreamlike setting worthy of the Wicked universe. The result? A stunning, immersive floral experience that served as the perfect photo backdrop for guests—including a few very notable names.
Adding to the magic of the evening, the premiere showcased costumes from the original motion picture, including those worn by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Standing in front of our floral installation, guests were transported straight into the world of Wicked, where every detail—from the flowers to the fashion—told a story of transformation, fantasy, and spectacle.
We love projects that allow us to push creative boundaries, and this installation was no exception. It was a joy to contribute to such a high-profile event and to see our blooms play a part in celebrating a film that so many have been eagerly anticipating.
