Commitment:

Compensation:

• $40 Flat Rate + $5 per delivery
• Part-time employee
• Mileage reimbursed at $0.67 per mile

Expectations & Duties:

She Loves Me is looking for a committed Tuesday - Saturday delivery driver to share a bit of joy in the form of flower deliveries to our customers.

Delivery drivers are responsible for:

• Arriving on-time to our Eckington shop to load up their set of designated orders for the day.
• Navigating to addresses across the DC area using an intuitive delivery app on your smart phone
• Checking all orders for accuracy before departing the shop on the delivery route (ie. no orders missing or incomplete).
• Delivering orders in perfect condition to customers.
• Tracking delivery completion and hours worked within the delivery and scheduling apps.

The ideal delivery driver:

- Is punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.

- Has genuine concern for the happiness and satisfaction of our outstanding customers

- A proactive, team mentality and the understanding that your actions have an impact on the She Loves me customer & business.

- $25 - $30/hour, based on 2+ of experience

Time Commitment:

- Thursday and Friday (Time will vary)
- Occasional Saturdays during event season

Retail Florist Responsibilities:

- Design and prepare bouquets for deliveries and retail orders
- Follow a set list of floral recipes while keeping designs playful and fresh
- Package and organize bouquets safely for our delivery drivers
- Ensure consistent quality and an obsession with keeping flowers happy and hydrated
- Maintain a clean and efficient workspace

Event Florist Responsibilities:

- Design and prepare event florals (centerpieces, personal flowers, installations) for weddings and special events in-studio and on-site at venues around D.C.
- Assist with on-site event installations
- Ensure consistent quality and an obsession with keeping flowers happy and hydrated to maintain freshness during event exposure
- Maintain a clean and efficient workspace both at the studio and on-site at an event

Florist Qualifications:

- At least 1 year of floral design experience
- Ability to provide a portfolio of floral design work on application
- A understanding of basic floral principles including flower care, processing flowers, and color palettes
- Efficiency in floral mechanics and technique, including construction of bouquets and arrangements utilizing foam-free mechanics
- She Loves Me is a small, growing business so flexibility, patience and kindness is a must
- It’s likely you will interface with customers while working in our open studio + shop so you must be comfortable being front-facing
