She Loves Me is looking for a part-time Retail Manager to oversee our Eckington flagship store and provide world-class service to our customers. If you are a natural-born problem solver and thrive in an ever-changing environment then this is the position for you. Loving flowers doesn’t hurt, either!

As part of your role, you will oversee the operations of in-store happenings as well as oversee our delivery orders. You will serve as an IRL representative of She Loves Me so we expect you to mirror our core values of kindness and making people feel loved. Among other traits, a successful Retail Manager will be a team-player who readily jumps in where needed. 

You can work both independently and part of a larger team, taking direction well, and interpreting direction into ownership of your work. You are level-headed and maintain composure during busy times.

You will report directly to the Managing Director and owner.

Compensation:

- $25/hour
- Part-time employee

Time commitment:
- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11am-7pm at the She Loves Me Eckington Shop

Expectations and duties
- Facilitate customer service inquiries, concerns, bouquet orders and special requests in-person, over the phone and via email
- Organize and expedite our bouquet deliveries for our couriers
- Interface with our couriers and customers to ensure successful deliveries
- Build a schedule for shopkeepers one-month out and manage time-off requests and needs for coverage
- Schedule important messages for our weekend team regarding need-to-know information and requests
- Review closing shift reports and take any action as needed
- Complete administrative duties as assigned (tracking packages, paying invoices, setting up new wholesale accounts, etc.)
- Assist with training new shopkeepers
- Reorder shop inventory as needed and merchandise it on the floor
- Send pre- and post-workshop communications and reminders
- Maintain organization and tidiness of the shop with the help of a studio assistant who will report directly to you
- Perform regular studio supply checks and place orders accordingly
- Possess a basic understanding of flower care
- Follow a set list of tasks designed to be completed throughout your shift
- Anticipate shop and studio needs to keep operations running smoothly
- Maintain a working knowledge of our core services and products so that you can best advise on delivery orders and special event inquiries
- Exemplify + foster a welcoming, positive and service-focused shop environment through communication, body language and morale

....and more! This is a dynamic role that requires a genuine love for customer service, adaptability, computer proficiency, strong written / oral communication and the ability to support the needs of the shop and the team as they arise. 

Qualifications:

- At least 2 years of retail and/or customer service experience
- A proactive mentality that anticipates issues and alleviates stressors for others
- The ability to guide customers to make a purchase in a genuine and helpful manner
- Knowledge of Shopify backend & point of sale a plus
- Confidence in maintaining organization across multiple channels of communication and information
- No prior floral experience necessary
- She Loves Me is a small, growing business so flexibility, patience and kindness is a must

Expectations & Duties:

She Loves Me is looking for a committed Tuesday - Saturday delivery driver to share a bit of joy in the form of flower deliveries to our customers.

Delivery drivers are responsible for:

  • Arriving on-time to our Eckington shop to load up their set of designated orders for the day.
  • Navigating to addresses across the DC area using an intuitive delivery app on your smart phone
  • Checking all orders for accuracy before departing the shop on the delivery route (ie. no orders missing or incomplete).
  • Delivering orders in perfect condition to customers.
  • Tracking delivery completion and hours worked within the delivery and scheduling apps.
  • Kindly note: You will be paid for 3 hours per shift, regardless if you have fewer deliveries
