I was shocked to only just recently learn of the Liriodendron Mansion - one of the most perfect DC area venues standing in plain sight!
The indoor space is just as beautiful as the lush gardens that spanned the entire property! It would make a perfect location for a spring or fall wedding in D.C. because it offers both indoor and outdoor options. (Gotta love a rain plan!)
On a beautiful Spring day, we had the pleasure of providing floral arrangements for our friends Lauren and Seth at The Liriodendron Mansion.
The Bridal Bouquet:
Lauren carried a bouquet of extra long calla lilies, local spirea, and heirloom tulips, chosen for their elegant silhouettes. The bouquet featured cascading greenery and delicate blooms, perfectly reflecting Lauren's romantic and elegant style.
Ceremony Flowers:
The ceremony space was adorned with a pair of asymmetrical floral arches covered in textural blooms. We used spirea en masse, local hydrangeas, and dogwood branches to create a romantic and inviting atmosphere. The floral arch at the altar was a true showstopper, with pops of lavender from the local lilac and greenery framing the couple as they exchanged vows.
Reception Décor:
The reception was held in a beautifully decorated round tables arranged in a serpentine fashion, and our flowers added a touch of elegance to the space. Centerpieces included tall vases filled with lilies, tulips, and lilac, and low clusters of single bloom, ikebana-inspired centerpieces.
