When Lindsay and Dylan came to us for their wedding at St. Regis, they wanted a fresh spin on the timeless white-and-green palette. Instead of the soft, blended arrangements you usually see, we leaned into something bolder: clusters of single flowers, each making its own statement.
Picture it: a cluster of lilies here, hydrangea there, each bloom allowed to shine on its own. The result felt sculptural, modern, and anything but expected. Free-form clusters gave the arrangements an almost “unnatural” shape — asymmetrical, a little unruly — but still so pleasing to the eye. It was an opportunity to design with restraint and confidence, letting each flower speak for itself rather than blending into a mix.
One of our favorite design elements was the draping. Lindsay and Dylan gave us room to experiment, and we layered in fabric in ways that framed the florals instead of competing with them. Draping is something many of our clients are curious about, but here it became a defining feature — elegant, architectural, and setting their day apart.
We were lucky to work with Silk + Slate, one of our favorite D.C. wedding planners. Their envelope-pushing, fashion-forward approach matched our vision perfectly.
